Takeovers

Takeover projects are performed when a new owner buys and repurposes a building for another use. RIV’s job is to transform the existing structure into the new owner’s vision both internally and externally, often completely replacing the facades and stripping interior walls and floors down to studs and subfloors before construction. Home Depot’s flagship superstore in Union, New Jersey is not only RIV’s largest takeover project to date, but is also Home Depot’s largest store in the country. At nearly double the size of its other stores, this takeover transformed a conventional Home Depot, along with an Expo design center, into a totally new type of concept store for the retail giant.
