Walmart Supercenter – Baltimore, MD

A major remodel and 11,200 expansion with accompanying site development transformed this traditional Walmart into a supercenter that combines general merchandise, a full grocery, pharmacy, optical center,  photo center, nail salon and McDonald’s under one roof. Innovative materials and energy efficient upgrades now exist throughout the updated building. The high-volume store is located in a busy shopping center that includes a Home Depot, Sam’s Club and several specialty stores. To ensure water quality and efficient removal of stormwater pollutants in this urban setting, RIV also managed the installation of several state-of-the-art bioretention filtration units.
