RIV Construction Group offers a variety of services and delivery methods to assist our clients in planning, developing and constructing successful projects. Our highly trained field, administrative and management personnel, teamed with experienced subcontractors, exemplify a high level of integrity and character. RIV also attends the latest industry and client-specific training and uses state-of-the-art technology to support our service offerings and facilitate seamless communication between all team players. Descriptions of RIV’s unique service offerings are detailed below.
Construction Services
General Contracting
The RIV team is highly experienced in delivering projects using the traditional method of general contracting, whether the client chooses a negotiated, lump sum, guaranteed maximum price or cost-plus contract arrangement. From site development through building completion, our project teams materialize what begins as a set of construction documents into a completed takeover, remodel, tenant fit-out or new construction project. Understanding that all projects are not equal, RIV focuses on compiling customized teams of professionals best suited for each project type and geographic location. We developed and maintain a nationally populated database of reputable, qualified subcontractors and suppliers with whom we partner to provide the quality and service that our clients expect while consistently delivering their projects on time and within budget.
Construction Management
As an alternative to the standard general contracting arrangement, RIV’s Construction Management (CM) team can instead act as a client’s agent. The CM team applies effective management techniques to the planning, design and construction of a project from inception to completion. Whether the client prefers a CM Agency or CM at Risk approach, they will benefit from RIV’s expertise in the following areas:
- Project Planning & Design
- Cost and Feasibility Analysis
- Time Management
- Communication Facilitation
- Environmental Quality Control
- Quality Management
- Contract Administration
- Safety Management
Design-Build
Through his early training and employment in the fields of architecture and civil engineering, RIV Construction Group founder Bill Rivellini has always had a passion and understanding of the early phases of a project. Our established relationships with architects, engineers and trade subcontractors enable us to compile teams that can first analyze our client’s concepts and requirements and then design systems, methods and processes that will:
- Provide early project feasibility feedback by involving personnel from all aspects of a project including owner, design professionals, construction management, and trade contractors
- Incorporate and promote a team concept between all project professionals to work in unison to develop and materialize our clients’ ideas and concepts
- Ensure team involvement and communication to minimize design, management and construction costs
- Promote “fast track” project delivery

This design-build service provides RIV Construction Group as a single point of reference to deliver a total package, from design phase through construction completion.
Project Planning and Analysis
Construction Feasibility Review
RIV can provide construction expertise for clients who need to make decisions regarding a specific project’s feasibility. We can analyze and offer opinions on materials, methods, processes, scheduling and costs involved in various types of construction projects such as site development, remodels, new building construction, takeovers or tenant fit-outs.
Planning
Once a client deems a project viable, RIV can assist in the planning and presentation of the project, including but not limited to working with and coordinating responsibilities between design professionals, local jurisdictions and utility companies.
Design Support
RIV believes a key component of any project is the “constructability” input we can offer during the design phase. By employing RIV during this important initial project phase, our clients are assured that the project has been reviewed by both the design professional who knows the overall vision of the project as well as the field personnel who must deliver the finished product of that vision.
Life Cycle Cost Analysis
RIV’s ability to analyze both initial and future costs associated with the life expectancy and maintenance of building systems helps our clients make well-informed decisions. RIV personnel trained in life cycle cost analysis can assist the project team in selecting the right materials, equipment and processes that will ensure a project’s success throughout its expected life cycle.
Value Engineering
Many times a final product can be accomplished in different ways. RIV continuously reviews and analyzes optional methods and materials that help our clients achieve the best possible final product while also maintaining their budget.
Document Review
Prior to releasing a project for construction, RIV can provide a full review and analysis of prepared construction documents. This review minimizes “grey” areas and protects the client from potential unexpected costs during the construction phase.
Costs Analysis and Scheduling
Project costs and scheduling are typically the two most important factors that determine a project’s feasibility and success. RIV uses our experience, knowledge and technology support programs to assist our clients in preparing budgets and schedules that help them make educated project decisions.
