The new relationship with this retail giant that began in 2009 is already so successful that Walmart has awarded RIV with two additional remodel expansions scheduled for completion in 2011 and 2012. These major remodel projects include significant expansions and site development as well as new, consistent branding and color schemes, more open layouts and new front exteriors to convert conventional Walmarts into supercenter concept stores. To ensure the least possible disruption to and ensure the safety of Walmart customers, RIV completes work on these remodels in several phases while the stores remain open. Each new supercenter will include a renovated pharmacy and optical, customer service, photo and garden centers; a full supermarket with new storage, refrigeration units, loading and receiving areas; and innovative new materials and energy efficient features used throughout the store.
